Two of the world’s leading print-on-demand technology platforms, Printful and Printify, have announced their merger, marking a significant moment in the industry. The merged entity, which will operate under a soon-to-be-named holding company, brings together talent and resources to strengthen its position in global e-commerce.
The leadership team of the unified organisation, unveiled on 20 November, includes executives from both companies. Former Printful CEO Alex Saltonstall will take the helm as Chief Executive Officer, while Printify’s Anastasija Oleinika steps into the role of President and Head of Platform.
Commenting on the merger, Saltonstall expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities ahead:
“This is a unique chance to drive long-term growth for our merchants by combining innovative technology and exceptional solutions. We’ll focus on building a world-class team while fostering a strong, inclusive company culture.”
Oleinika echoed this sentiment, emphasising the shared vision:
“My passion lies in removing barriers and creating seamless, user-friendly experiences. Together, we’ll unlock opportunities and enhance performance through our combined strengths.”
The merger has been approved by regulatory authorities and shareholders, enabling the new leadership team to begin work immediately. Initial priorities include uniting the teams, integrating technology capabilities, and expanding product offerings, geographic reach, and fulfilment solutions. Despite the merger, Printful and Printify will continue to operate as separate brands.
The newly formed board includes the co-founders of both companies, Jānis Berdigans (Printify) and Lauris Liberts (Printful), alongside Saltonstall and Oleinika. Esteemed advisors Gokul Rajaram, formerly of Google and DoorDash, and Ernst Teunissen, known for roles at Tripadvisor and Just Eat, also join the board.
The comprehensive leadership team was designed to ensure a smooth transition and maximise the merged entity’s potential:
- Adam Malpocher – Chief Financial Officer
- Edgars Peičs – Chief Technology Officer
- Zane Levsa – Chief Operating Officer
- Ashish Chopra – Chief Product Officer
- Pārsla Basko – Chief People & Culture Officer
- Greg Sewastianowicz – Chief Growth Officer for the platform business
- Sarah Praceus – Vice President of Commerce
- Rick Simpson, founder of Snow Commerce, will continue leading the Snow Commerce division.
Jānis Berdigans, Printify Co-Founder, described the new team as an “A-team of superheroes” ready to deliver exceptional innovations and experiences.
Lauris Liberts, Co-Founder of Printful, highlighted the transformative potential of the partnership:
“This merger positions us to elevate the industry to new heights. Together, we can achieve incredible outcomes for our customers and partners.”
The merged company promises to leverage its combined expertise to redefine the print-on-demand sector and create a stronger, more dynamic future for its customers and stakeholders.
