The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has revealed key details of its highly anticipated inaugural international sporting events, set to take place in February 2025. The SFA Expo and the Riyadh Marathon will be the highlights of the event, designed to promote fitness, health, and the growing sports culture in Saudi Arabia.
The SFA Expo, which will run from 5th to 7th February 2025, will be held at Riyadh’s JAX District, offering a vibrant space for fitness enthusiasts and industry professionals. The Expo will serve as the official bib collection hub for the Riyadh Marathon, set for 8th February, and will feature various interactive zones centred around sports, health, and wellness. Attendees can expect to see cutting-edge fitness equipment, emerging wellness technologies, and participate in various activities that highlight the importance of a healthy lifestyle. In addition to the interactive exhibits, the Expo will host a B2B lounge, encouraging networking among industry professionals, as well as workshops on mindfulness and nutrition.
A major attraction at the Expo will be the Primal Race on 7th February, a high-intensity fitness challenge designed to test participants’ endurance. The race will feature a series of demanding physical activities, with 400m group runs interspersed throughout, providing a fun and challenging experience for competitors.
The Riyadh Marathon, which follows on 8th February, will offer a range of race categories to cater to different fitness levels. Runners can choose from the full marathon (42km), a half marathon (21km), a 10km race, or a family-friendly 4km fun run. The marathon route will take participants past some of Riyadh’s most iconic landmarks, including Boulevard City and Wadi Hanifah, with the race starting at Boulevard World and concluding near the Kingdom Arena.
The events are being supported by a strong roster of sponsors. Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB) returns as the presenting partner, while ASICS and Tawuniya are headline sponsors for both the Expo and the marathon. Other key partners include Gatorade, Aquafina, and PepsiCo, who will provide hydration for runners, and Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group (HMG), offering medical support at the Expo. Ford will provide race vehicles, and MDL will bring DJs to energise the crowd, while KAFD will host pre-event activations.
Several supporting partners, including Calo, JP Morgan, Centrum, and Kayanee, are also contributing to the events, with Joe & The Juice introducing a special Riyadh Marathon drink. Official marathon partners BAE Systems and Kudu are helping to promote the event, while Huawei will be providing mass participant awards. ASICS will supply official sports apparel to race participants, and JAX District serves as the venue partner for the Expo.
These events are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader Vision 2030 goals, which aim to foster a culture of fitness and physical activity. The SFA’s initiatives reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to promoting sports and wellness as key aspects of its societal development, helping to shape a healthier and more active future for the nation.
