TCL CSOT, a global leader in display technology, has unveiled its latest innovations under the APEX brand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona. These advancements highlight TCL CSOT’s commitment to delivering superior visual experiences while prioritising user well-being and environmental sustainability.
Pioneering Display Technologies
At the forefront of TCL CSOT’s showcase is the world’s first 14-inch Camera-Under-Panel (CUP) OLED display, integrated into the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i laptop. This technology eliminates the need for notches or cutouts, offering users an uninterrupted viewing experience with a remarkable 98% screen-to-body ratio. The display boasts 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant and smooth visuals.
Another notable innovation is the 6.36-inch display featuring TCL CSOT’s multiple frequency partition technology. This design divides the screen into sections that can operate at different refresh rates, optimising power consumption and reducing the overall integrated circuit power usage by up to 31%.
In collaboration with Xiaomi, TCL CSOT has introduced the world’s first 6.73-inch Multiple Frequency Partitioned OLED display. This screen supports three simultaneous partitions, achieving a 96% screen-to-body ratio and an impressive brightness of 3,200 nits. It also features flicker-free 1,920Hz Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming, enhancing user comfort during extended use. This display is integrated into the newly announced Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone.
Advancements in Eye Care and Sustainability
Addressing the growing concern for eye health, TCL CSOT unveiled a 6.67-inch WQHD display equipped with circular polariser technology. This feature reduces glare and enhances screen visibility, particularly in bright environments or when the user is wearing sunglasses. Additionally, the display incorporates global Direct Current (DC) dimming technology, significantly minimising screen flickering and reducing eye strain.
The 12.1-inch moth-eye biomimetic eye care tablet display is another testament to TCL CSOT’s dedication to user well-being. Inspired by the nanostructure of moth eyes, this display disperses light to offer a comfortable viewing experience even in bright settings. It also features anti-glare, anti-reflective, anti-fingerprint, and anti-microbial properties, ensuring both visual clarity and hygiene. With a low blue light ratio of under 20%, it further reduces eye strain during prolonged use.
Commitment to Sustainability
TCL CSOT’s APEX brand embodies a commitment to sustainable and low-carbon solutions. The company’s Inkjet Printing (IJP) OLED technology exemplifies this ethos by offering superior performance and energy efficiency. The 21.6-inch 4K IJP OLED professional display, for instance, features 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and achieves over 90% material efficiency, leading to a 20% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional OLED manufacturing processes.
Future Outlook
Jun Zhao, Chief Executive Officer of TCL CSOT, emphasised the company’s dedication to innovation: “We must always stay at the forefront of innovation to deliver the best possible visual experiences to consumers.” This commitment is evident in TCL CSOT’s continuous efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology with sustainable practices, aiming to redefine visual experiences for users worldwide.
As the demand for enhanced visual experiences continues to grow, TCL CSOT’s latest offerings at MWC 2025 position the company as a key player in shaping the future of display technology, balancing technological advancement with environmental responsibility.
